Mixers these days look about the same. Same functions, same layout, same operation philosophy. RM-2 Mk2 introduces a new, different way to mix.
Every DJ setup always has a left and a right source of sound relative to the mixer. RM-2 Mk2 has left and right areas to control the sources respectively, which include channels levels, cues, and send knobs. In between is the blending zone with EQ isolators. Above it, the output controls — return, master and booth knobs, followed by phono/line input switches. So the sound comes from left and right, mixes in the middle and goes up to the back panel, where all the connections are. Also the back panel inputs are on the left and the right side, and outputs are in the middle. Much more intuitive, right?
New isolators
Horizontal EQ isolators on each channel
4-way control with full cut/+9dB boost 12dB per octave response
As you can see — there is something unusual about the EQ layout. Why are there only 2 rows and 4 columns? That’s because the isolators are horizontal! Top row is for the left source and bottom one is for the right. And they have 4-way adjustments — low, mid low, mid high and high. With this layout isolators can be used both for individual channel performing (like a master ISO) and for mixing channels together.
Record output
As I got a lot of requests for this during the production years of the first model of my mixer, the RM-2 Mk2 gets the new RCA record output — so you can record your sessions with fixed -6dB gain.
Send fx
Separate Send faders for each channel to external effects, common Return knob. FX signal is added to the main output.
The light
For all the people who struggle in dark environments — RM-2 Mk2 comes with a flexible LED lamp. Just attach it to the dedicated connector on the back panel when needed.
External power supply
New linear regulated external power supply — for the best performance and lowest noise floor. Also 110/220V selectable — use it anywhere and everywhere in the world, just toggle the switch.
Appearance
New two-color enclosure style — marble black top and bottom, aged brass front and back. Brass plates are manually sanded and acid vapor aged for several hours — every part is unique and has its own exceptional character.

Handmade in New York
Khramov mixers are as handmade as they can be. Starting from hand selecting and matching components, soldering (even SMD parts), assembling, sanding, brass acid vapor aging, drilling, tapping threads, laser engraving, tuning — everything is exclusively handcrafted by D. Khramov. RM-2 Mk2 also gets the new beautiful custom knobs — even they are manually machined.
RM-2 Mk2 is handmade in the USA sourcing high grade components from all over the world.
Size
I have completely redesigned all the internals to shorten the signal paths and make the RM-2 Mk2 more compact and portable. The new body is 11.8 x 6 x 2.7 in (300 x 154 x 68 mm) and the new knobs are 0.7 in (18mm) high. More features — less size.
